RELAY
The Walton Bee relay is a range of high quality, long life
products with high load capacity, Flexible design allows one
to four pole, each of NO, NC or CO mode in up to 30
combinations. Each pole has a maximum current capacity of
20 amps. The maximum voltage/pole is 550V rms,
The units are mechanically Interchangeable with the Walton
Bee 'M' range and the Arrow '28' series but with M4 terminals.

Adjustable stop ensures compliance with BRB Spec. TDE/G/77D/71
for vibration resistance and use with voltages up to 250V rms on Rail
rolling stock. Coils in this range are fully encapsulated.
Coils can be fitted with diodes for voltage surge suppression, for ac/dc
operation, or for reverse polarity protection, as required.

‘B’ Type Relays
MOUNTING
Relays are mounted by 2 screws M4 or 4BA at 36.5 mm pitch.
‘BV’ Type Relays
When mounted vertically the relay must be fitted so that the contacts are uppermost.
On no
account should the relay, when mounted vertically, have the blades horizontal.
A steel enclosure, with knockouts for 20mm conduit is available, size 120mm x 100mm x 70mm
MATERIAL SPECIFICATION

The magnetic circuit is made from Swedish Iron, Hydrogen annealed and Zinc plated and
passivated.
The structural mouldings are produced from glass filled Polyester, fire retardant grade
C.T.I. in excess of 600.
Other mouldings are glass filled Nylon 66.
Insulators are epoxy-bonded glass.
Contact springs are high conductivity Beryllium Copper.
Contact plates and terminals are produced from Brass (CZ107).
Return springs are Stainless Steel.
Coils are wound with Polyurethane insulated wire to BS4520 with temperature rating up to
130°C.
Contacts are either Fine Silver or 10% Silver Alloy according to application.
