ECHNOLOGY
UTC utilizes a wet build-up manufacturing system to produce its multilayer ceramic capacitor products. This
advanced system allows for optimal construction, which ensures better performance during the customer’s
assembly operation and provides the customer with a cost effective solution under stringent assembly environments.

UTC integrates quality throughout its supply chain system by building quality into our designs and manufacturing
process. Supplier control systems ensure the highest quality materials and service to our customers. Our manufacturing
facility achieved ISO-9001, 2000 certification and MIL-STD-790 approval.
UTC is equipped for performing testing in accordance with Mil-C-39104, Mil-C-20, and Mil-C-55681 as required by some
customers. Our quality assurance system and procedures are based upon the requirements of Mil-I-45208 and Mil-STD-790,
with the calibration program in accordance with Mil-STD-45662A.

Established in 1991, UTC is a Corporation headquartered in Monterey Park, California. Within its 25,000 square foot
ISO-9001 2000 certified and DSCC MIL-STD-790 approved facility, UTC houses its technology center, manufacturing
operations, sales and customer support operations. UTC also maintains a fully staffed, highly qualified engineering
department to support customer applications, product design, and new product development.

OVERVIEW
Union Technology Corp. is a global supplier of ceramic chip capacitors and other specialty multilayer ceramic (MLC)
products used by electronic manufacturers.
UTC formulates the material used in the manufacture of its MLCs, including ceramic dielectric powders, electrode mate-
rials, resins, and inks. Precise raw material characterization and tight process control ensure UTC’s quality reputation as
a state-of-the-art manufacturer of ceramic capacitor products.
UTC offers the full range of standard popular EIA sizes from a 0603 to an 2225, in NPO, X7R, Z5U, and Y5V dielectrics,
in low to high voltage ratings. In order to accommodate our customers, we offer a series of high voltage parts to 10,000
volts and 6550 size.
In addition to the standard products included in this catalog, UTC designs and manufactures a significant number of cus-
tom and specialty ceramic capacitor products in various designs and configuration to address the specific needs of our
customers. Our Advanced Products Group is staffed and equipped to assist our customers with developing MLC solu-
tions for applications requiring cost effective, volumetric efficient designs.
