LOW-COST GENERAL PURPOSE 32-BIT MCUs
Description
Oki’s ML674K and ML675K series are the foundation
of general purpose 32-bit RISC microcontrollers
featuring the industry leading ARM/Thumb
®
architec-
ture. Both series offer 32KB RAM, 256K and 512K
Flash versions as well as ROM-less versions with the
ML674K series at operating at up to 33MHz and the
ML675K series at up to 60MHz.
The ML674K and ML675K series give engineers an
upward migration from propriety 16-bit MCUs to
industry leading 32-bit ARM performance. Major
functions of existing 16-bit microcontrollers, such as
on-chip Flash memory, 32KB RAM, various I/Os ( I2C
master, UARTs, USART and Clock Output), 4-channel
10-bit A/D, powerful Timers (PWM and WDT) and
power management, are supported. All parts in both
series are pin to pin compatible for a seamless
upgrade in Flash size and higher frequency with no
redesign needed of the board.
With Oki’s general purpose ARM micro-controllers,
engineers can take advantage of the additional
features and software enhancement inherent with a
32-bit architecture without noticable increase in
price from their current 16-bit MCUs.

Development Kit
A CPU board is for use in
debugging embedded user
application systems to run on
the target MCUs. The board
replaces program ROM with
RAM and Flash memory,
allowing the developer to
debug without the target
memory connected.
A built-in debugging monitor
permits debugging from a PC. Comes with
schematic and sample source code and is ideal for
use as target board in conjunction with the
RealView Developer Kit for Oki.

Development Tool
Jointly developed by ARM and Oki Electric as a complete, low-
cost solution for Oki’s ML674K/ML675K series ARM core general-
purpose microcontroller products, the RealView
®
Developer Kit for Oki is the
leading edge tool suite for software development. Being the most comprehensive
tool package forwriting, compiling, debugging and integrating systems, the kit is
based on components of the ARM RealView development solution with
functionality tailored to the specific requirements of Oki ARM7 MCU products.
Comprised of the RealView targeted compiler, and a powerful GUI-based
RealView debugger, the complementary ARM RealView ICE Micro Edition
module provides JTAG run control through a standard 8 MHz JTAG TAP at data
rates of 100 KB/second. The industry-leading optimization facilities of the RealView
Compiler help the developer to reduce system memory cost, through smaller
code size and increased system performance. A low price can be offered since
the functionality is precisely tailored to Oki’s ARM7 controllers. Moreover, a fully
functional evaluation version restricted by the number of run cycles or by a 60
day time-out is available.
