Low Noise, Low Power, I2C® Bus,256 TapsThe ISL90843 integrates four digitally controlledpotentiometers (XDCP) on a monolithic CMOS integratedcircuit.The digitally controlled potentiometers are implemented witha combination of resistor elements and CMOS switches. Theposition of the wipers are controlled by the user through theI2C bus interface. Each potentiometer has an associatedWiper Register (WR) that can be directly written to and readby the user. The contents of the WR controls the position ofthe wiper.The DCPs can be used as a voltage divider in a wide varietyof applications including control, AC measurement, andsignal processing.
