The RT9179A is a high performance linear voltageregulator with enable high function and adjustable outputwith a 1.175V reference voltage. It operates from an inputof 3V to 5.5V and provides output current up to 500mAwith two external resistors to set the output voltage rangesfrom 1.175V to 4.5V.The RT9179A has superior regulation over variations in lineand load. Also it provides fast response to step changes inload. Other features include over-current and overtemperatureprotection. The device has enable pin to reducepower consumption in shutdown mode.The device is available in SOP-8 package.
