The approach described in the following application note shows a flexible and powerful computationalsystem: the Fuzzy Programmable Board (FPB).The FPB is a low cost general purpose board able to cover a wide range of applications. It employs W.A.R.P.2.0 like a fuzzy co-processor of a standard 8-bit microcontroller.W.A.R.P.2.0 is a member of the W.A.R.P. family of fuzzy microprocessors produced by SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics. It can be used both as co-processor or as a stand-alone microcontroller. As a fuzzy co-processor, W.A.R.P.2.0 can work together with standard micros which perform normal control tasks such as A/D conversions, arithmetic calculus, Timer, Interrupts and so on, while W.A.R.P.2.0 is indipendently responsible for all the related fuzzy computing.
