INTRODUCTION
The CCD31-20 has been designed to be a direct functional
replacement for the CCD11-20 with a number of
refinements to device performance. Such devices are used
for remote sensing, commercial and military applications
both for scene imaging and machine vision/measurement.
The device comprises a linear array of 4,096 photodiode
type pixels each 12 µm square. Signal readout is via two
interleaved readout registers above and below the array.
Anti-blooming drains are incorporated and additional dark
reference outputs are provided.
The ceramic package has 42 pins. These are split into two
rows for standard dual in-line socketing.
Designers are advised to consult E2V Technologies should
they be considering using CCD sensors in abnormal
environments or if they require custom packages.
