Polarization Maintaining .C Jumpers
DiCon’s Polarization Maintaining FC Jumpers are built using a
proprietary termination process for polarization maintaining
(PM) fiber types. With this process, DiCon is able to control the
alignment of the PM stress rods to within tight tolerances with
respect to the connector key, resulting in low insertion loss
and excellent polarization extinction ratio.

PM Components
As the gain of amplifiers is increased and as transmission speeds
go to OC-192 and higher, polarization maintaining fiber is
increasingly being used. Polarization Maintaining FC Jumpers are
commonly used to connect modules and line cards within long haul
transmission systems. They are also used as test jumpers for
testing of polarization maintaining components and modules.
