High-Performance EMIF Bridge Core
Introduction
This application note describes the Altera® high-performance external memory interface (EMIF) bridge core.
The high-performance EMIF bridge core bridges between an external Texas Instruments (TI) TMS320C64x digital signal processing (DSP) device and internal FPGA functions. The high-performance EMIF bridge core decodes external EMIF accesses and converts and forwards those accesses to the appropriate internal FPGA resource. External CPU accesses can result from a CPU memory access or a direct memory access (DMA) transfer operation.
